I was thinking before i start to intorduce other people's mindset of how the IR would affect tourism in Singapore. I figured out it would be better if i first of all provide my stand of view.

In my opinion, i would give the IR a GOGO!! instead of a NONO.

Firstly i feel that the IR would have a positive impact of the Singapore tourism.
To start of with, it gives foreigners another reason to visit Singapore, especially those who have visited Singapore before. It is because there is something new for them to expect, instead of just visiting places like Night Safari,Bird Park which they have already lost interest in.
But now with the IR, its like wow, its going to be big with lots fo cool stuff, expect superb scenery, excellent service, high class hotels & a whole lot of other entertainments that's going to provide them with never-ending fun.

Secondly, the jobs opportunities that are to be created is another addition.Singapore is trying to promote excellent service to all, this can be seen in the campaign known as GEMS(Going The Extra Mile for Service). Thus with the development of a IR, it would mean that there would be hotels and restaurants which would greatly require peopl to serve in the service industry. This would also ber a excellent chance for Singapore to potray itself as a country with workers which provide excellent service. This would in turn attract more people to visit Singapore to "see if they really get what they expect".

The above are just my personal views on the setting up of the IR.

I'm going to start to post responses from the public on how they think the IR would affect Singapore's tourism. In the meantime psot any comments u have about the IR if u have any ideas to share.
